Grand Rapids, March 2.41
'M. F.H. Deys.Due to circumstances and in a round about way I received a letter from yor parents in the Hague to let you know they are well and are very anxious to hear from you and not withstanding distribution and other things are getting along fairly well and so they got my adres and asked me to write you asking me that you write to me and the I could let them know how you are getting along. I suppose you are already wondering who is writing all this. Well my name is John Bouman a cousin of your wife's mother and am living in Grand Rapids Michigan USA your wifes parents got my addres from a cousin of me by the name of Jet Koldewijn also of the Hague the place where also your parents live and as they seem to be unable the get their letters direct to you they asked me to write to you so now if you would do that in that way they would be able to hear from you.Hoping to hear from you soon and Wishing you Gods blessings we are your second CousinJohn Bouman1014 Urban ct. De taal- of spelfouten zijn van John.
